Judith Martin
Judith’s current work includes designing and tutoring on influencing,
assertiveness and coaching skills programmes. She facilitates Action Learning
Sets on a Leadership programme, a Preparing for Top Management programme and
a programme for Senior Academics. She is also working with an International
Charity helping them to select staff for changing job roles. She is coaching
someone who has recently failed a promotion opportunity, and a Director on
issues concerning communication and presence. She is an External Examiner for
a Diploma in Management. Her clients span the private, public and voluntary
sectors.
Her career history includes 13 years as Assistant Director at Roffey
Park Management Institute, working on a range of programmes in the
areas of personal development, interpersonal skills, leadership training
for middle and senior managers and specialists. She also designed
and tutored on a range of programmes for developers and training consultants,
including qualification programmes. Prior to that, she was a tutor
at The Civil Service College where she specialised in training trainers
and consultants for 4 years. She began her training career as a tutor
at the Department of Trade and Industry delivering a range of management
and vocational skills courses.
Special interests
- Judith’s special interests include:
- coaching people through
periods of personal/career change
- women’s development: she
is a member of a group of consultants who have carried
out research into specific issues women face in the
workplace.
- holistic health and well being: she is qualified
in Chinese Medicine and Shiatsu massage and integrates these
principles in her
work where appropriate. She has also facilitated workshops on this subject
on Roffey Park’s MBA programme and MSc. in Organisational
and People Development.
